944 lux rear seat belts (928 rear belts too)

Were rear seatbelts an option on a 2.5 944 lux (85)? Can I buy the parts to fit some or are the mounting points going to be missing?

As an aside, does a 928 S/S2/S4 have rear seat belts? Have anyone managed to get a child seat in one?

Dunno if they were an option but my 84 944 definatley has what apear to be, built in anchorage points (the car did have rear belts but they were binned along with the rear seats).

The 928 does have rear seatbelts, but they're lap belts only.

The 944 changed from lap belts to 3 point belts in (I think) 1988.

Did the 928 ever do the same???

The 928 S2 had lap belts, but that changed to 3-point ones with the introduction of the 928 S4 in 1987. You can also fit a child-seat in a 928. Porsche still sells them... Buy a 928 over the 944 anyday! Not that I am biased
