Looks like I'm about to buy my first porsche

It's a nice 993C2, 96N, 60k miles fsh (though bmw dealer for half of it), sports seats, air, midnight blue from camtune.

Drove it yesterday, my first drive in an air cooled 911 - fantastic.

Look forward to meeting up with other owners on the board,

Cheers, Al.

Good luck mate, if everything falls into place I'll be seeing one this week too-a 993 Turbo!
I first test drove one ages ago, it was a very rare 993 RS, but I had no place to keep it, now I should be getting a lock up!

Perhaps we can tempt you to dyno your machine next weekend, see:

Much fun awaits you...

Check that the BMW history is genuine...rogue stamps are known to make the rounds...Why someone would use a BMW garage to service a POrsche is beyond me as they usually struggle to service BMWs properly!

Oh...and check out the 993 C2 at Portiacraft. Its stunning!

Based on my experience with Porsche and BMW... the BMW guys do a very through job..

Anyway, as Kamal says, worth checking with the BMW dealer - not sure why someone would go to a BM dealer for a Porsche - the labour rates will be similar.

My thought's too. Just spoke at length with the previous owner and got a good run down on it's history. Now I'm pleased!

The BMW is more than reputable and now also specialises in Porsches..

Can't wait to pick it up. Will post pictures etc etc.

Cheers, Al.

Congratulations Al - my new baby is also in the midnight blue and I think it's the best colour for a 993. Beats the silver, black and arena red 911s for class in my opinion.

Enjoy

Hey, if we're gonna start colour bitching then we'll start opening doors and looking at interiors! You wouldn't want that mr blue leather.

Calm down, calm down! Can't quite see through the 'screen on the photo in your profile - did you take the optional Porsche pink leather with flowery carpets?

That's what I love about electronic comms. Sarcasm and humour get completely lost. As do spelling mistakes.
