Well as I seem to be the chief protagonist in this I thought I'd add my 2 € worth.

As I see this one of Boxa.net's members posted a "rant" against the PCGB and as a consequence one of the PCGB directors came along and posted in a beligerant fashion. In my eyes just because he is a director on PCGB doesn't mean he has any privelige on Boxa.net. SO I responded in a like fashion.

Then Mark decided to defend his friend or whatever and became tangled up in the melee.

I do however notice that none of the PCGB representation have answered the question about the post that said director made about "wanting to meet" one of the boxa.net members.

So as I see it the old adage stands as always. people in glass houses really should not throw stones.

Roger (who is not arguing that black is white, just stating the other side of this discussion)

Mark,

people were not really debating Nic's point initially - the problem I (and many others) had with it was the manner in which he posted, it was aggressive and disrespectful to the members, coming from someone's first post. If Nic had counted to 10 before posting and made a more tactful and moderated post, just stating the facts, then the outcome would have been significantly different. This wasn't because it was "Nic Doczi, PCGB director" - it was because it was a new poster being offensive to members - this happens to ANY new posters (especially if they have a S2K ).

I think the whole episode was particularly damaging to PCGB, which as an active member saddens me, but I do hold PCGB and the way in which they dealt with it (or lack of dealing with it) largely responsible for this. Note, I don't include you as "PCGB" here - I know the register/regional volunteers have no real power/say/influence and just do a good job of arranging stuff for members for which they all have my utmost respect - when I say PCGB I really mean the inner circle of directors who do the decision making (or apparent lack of it).

I don't believe anyone will hold this against you, most people will have forgotten you posted, or taken a neutral view of what you posted. I believe you were kind of trying to recover Nic's position, but by that time he had dug himself a hole, and people didn't want to hear it. Given your status as a register organiser (or whatever it's called) for boxsters, it seems a bit silly not to get involved with the largest on-line collection of your members and people who may become members.

I hope you'll consider coming back - Rogers a nice bloke when you get to meet him (even if he does drive a Tip!)

This is all rather silly now - I happen to agree with Mark and think Roger a little harsh. However we should all forget this now, it`s really not that important.
