Every new 911 release lets the older 911s look better!

Y'know, they don't make 'em like they used to !
I've heard a rumor, that the first 911s were hand-built by Sicilian virgins and steering wheels were covered with baby-singbird leather. Engines were aircooled too.

I just got a brochure through - that thing sticking out of the binnacle in the middle isn't a clock, it's a stopwatch!!!

Oh great..., the speed kills lobby will have a grand old time, quoting that in their future press releases.

I bet in the flesh it will look incredible.....except for the clock, that is so awful - in fact the whole interior is lame.

makes me glad I yesterday picked up the last new 996 c2 carrera to roll off the production line.

i wasnt 100% sure, but i think the new lights dont look right, the interior looks even cheaper and the door handles and mirrors look a bit gawky

had the option to wait for the new or take one of the last 996's and think i made the right decision, although would like to see the S in the metal.

cannot believe the S will be much under 63-65k when it arrives

Am I blind or are the two bodystyles the same? - difference is not too apparent in these pics, although I suppose the 'S' might be slightly wider - doesn't look it though.

Shame they've lost the full width red strip across the back of the 'S' as well.

....i think it's wearing a slightly nipped in waist and wider hips a la 993. Not hugely noticable in those shots though.
