Just wondering if anyone has any ideas.

When my 01 Boxster S is cold, accelerating to about 3k rpm there are several 'hesitations' with the power delivery, eg 2,400rpm there will be a momentary 'flat spot'. Once warmed up the car is fine.

Oxygen sensor? I know that they are heated and if the heater is gone then the sensor itself won't be warm t'ill the engine warms up
Thats if they work the same way as the some other porkers......

For description of Variocam, see

The excuse for hesitation around 3000rpm is that this is when Variocam comes in. It seems to be worse in some cars than others.

Thanks for your help guys.
I have also spoken to Northways Porsche specialist and they said to drop it in and they will check it on their computer thingy!
