LHD Tuscans

Engineering for left hand drive Tuscans is well underway and TVR hope to have cars ready for the Autumn. The target market is Europe initially where they hope to expand their dealer network. U.S. fans will have to remain very patient.

Patient?

We have been waiting since the S series!

Anyone offer odds of TVR selling their cars in the USA in next 24 months?

Can you imagine the law suits? Ford get sued when their cars stall. What's going to happen to TVR?

That's why it hasn't happened and probably won't.

Mind you, th UK is getting nearly as bad with the claims culture.
If I hear "no win, no fee" once more.....

At last!
It will be interesting to see how the continental public will react to the cars.
Let's hope their original look will not be sneered at by the traditional sports car customer (ferrari, Porsche).

I hope we'll be able to see a first model at the Paris Motorshow this automn. I'm sure it will have big success, as french people don't really know TVR yet...

It's about time they give it a go. Some time ago there was a report about the Tuscan in a wide spread German car magazine. I was astonished how impressed the authors were when they tested the car. Personally I think people over here will happily accept the Tuscan as an alternative to Porsche. As for the US market, I remember the story about the glitch in the handbook and the therefore missing money for 20 or so cars. This incident was one of many nails in the coffin of the Martin Lilley era.

I can't wait for TVR to come across the pond.

There is a problem with our tort system, but to be fair, Ferrari, Porsche and BMW seem to be able to make a go of it here in the USA.

The key is to price for the problems (warranty claims, cost of liablility insurance, etc.) and get down to business.

maybe they should also put a little energy into improving quality control. Is the rest of the world ready for TVR's.... how should I put this....'reliability quirks!'

Does anyone know if the Speed 6 engine passes European emission standards?

I'm thrilled about the prospects of LHD TVR's. I hope this is the first step towards a greater TVR global prescence!

So let me get this straight...the engine is emission compliant with Euro standards, they engineering for LHD, is there a big difference regarding safety standards?
The way I see it, TVR must be pretty close to have engineered their cars for world distribution (LHD/RHD, emission compliant).
Hope for us on the other side of the pond after all.

So am I right in saying that all TVR needs to do is crash a few cars?

Great news!
For those of us in the USA,what is the timeline other than needing to be patient?

Is there a spy at the factory that can get a few pictures of the real McCoy?

(Love to see it with an Airbag, too--then the USA would be closer to being a reality!)
