Looking for a little more bang
Discussion
I am waiting to pick up my beast next week after the "big" service, mot etc. she sat for a bit trying to sell in a dealer but the market is a little quiet. So I had to get her back as I missed that rumble. That brings me onto how I can get that little extra without making my ears bleed.
I have re packed the shark cans with stainless wadding which made a small difference. I don't want to de cat straight through.
So will it make a difference to remove the 2 boxes at the rear just behind the exhaust cans?
Any experience, examples of sound would be great.
Thanks

Yes I believe it does make a difference, a few have done it, and they have posted comments/videos of it. They say it makes it sound/loud like a de-cat system but without MOT issues.
Personnally I say remove everything and worry about it when the time comes.
Have you thought of wrapping/coating the exhausts/manifold, as this will help produce more crisp pops and bangs, but not more noise, and some flames too, but mine is de-catted.

I will see what happens with the main de cat. The only thing I have now is those back boxes as some form of muffler.
The stainless wadding in my shark cans as well as the de cat should irritate my neighbour just fine.
I did not expect the rear boxes to look like that. Not sure what I expected in fairness.
