MK2 Tuscan Spring Rates
Discussion
Spring stiffness (k) is a function of displacement, damping coeficient(c or B) is a function of velocity.
As they left the factory. Some early Tuscan MK2 left the factory with Harvey Bailey dampers before Bilsteins were used.
Sagaris geometry is different so you can not compare, just there for interest.
Post Aug'05 are for Targas and Convertibles.

I guess difference between light and dark blue is because a "S"ports setup would have a lower ride height on the rears along with the stiffer springs ... but I am just guessing.
I would get rid of the "white" ones and check your rears are Bilstein dampers and not Harvey Bailey. I am told the white ones were found to be way too soft on the rear.

Hi Keith,
thanks for info. How can I tell the shocks are bilstein or harvey?
Are the billies always yellow? Mine are black.
Looks like a Harvey Bailey as billies usually have the logo on the bottom ala this pic from RGthanks for info. How can I tell the shocks are bilstein or harvey?

I am sure the Nitrons will improve the handling... But if the bump steer you refer to, is what I suffered.... The car darting into to kerb if I hit a pothole going into a corner... Raising the rack certainly made it better,,, I tried spacers and they made no difference and are now off the car.
PS. We have lots of potholes on British 'A' roads ... can't afford to fill them in, Brussels gets all our money
