Geo Settings for a Late Tuscan
Discussion
OK, I know Jonno n Me both have MK1's but the subtle difference is he guessed his geo and I fitted poly bushes all round, new drop links and had my geo done, the difference when we drive is annoyingly not noticeable! I went to book figures apart from caster on the front which I increased (shims are thick so make thin ones half the thickness) but not to the 7 odd degrees you get with both shims in front, standard is 5 ish and on the rear I have camber at around 2.5 which doesn't sound a lot but is quite heavy.
I find this dulls the turn in and stops the back skipping. It drives better than the Sag which has always had a disconnected feel unless you have it loaded reasonably hard in a corner and the Tusky doesn't tram line. Tyres make a big difference and I have 255s on the front so there is plenty of side wall to avoid tram lining which you seem to get on stretched tyres. I am looking for a pair of decent scales now for corner weight.
Sure you will get it right but it is a personal taste thing so listen to everyone and no one!

Cheers J,
Thanks for the advice, my shocks are bouncy so need replace them, and hoping for a vast improvement especially on B roads after a group set up, I have 255's on the front, it just a feels no where near as planted or predictable as the Chimaera.
I will let you know how I get on.
Thanks again,Y
