My front discs are not long for this world so I'm thinking about changing them to S spec rather than just replace like with like.
I'm struggling to work out exactly whether or not this is possible though, and what to order.
This link http://tvr-parts.com/tvr-parts/part-details/tvr-j-... is for the replacement discs, however, I have seen quite a few pages suggesting that Tuscan S rears are 298mm whereas this link suggests they're 280mm.
If they actually are 298mm then I presume they wouldn't fit.
I have a September 2000 car which should apparently have "early" calipers with AP cast on the side, however, they have TVR on the side instead so I guess they've been changed at some point. That being the case, I'm guessing http://tvr-parts.com/tvr-parts/part-details/tvr-j0... is the correct spacer for the front to accept S discs.
And these pads http://tvr-parts.com/tvr-parts/part-details/tvr-j0... suggest they are for my calipers, but there is no evidence in my documents the calipers were changed on my car, and the previous owner thinks they were originally standard so I'm a little baffled now.

I fitted the bigger brake discs from Brummie:-

Got the front 330r Grooved discs and CL pads a few months back, really good setup and good pedal feel.
Not fitted rear yet, but will be keeping the standard size of 282mm. Personally don't think you need bigger rear discs unless doing lots of track days. Bigger disc provides a bigger surface area to dissipate heat.

That page doesn't appear to offer any spacers that allows a standard Tuscan to take 298 rear discs. It offers only 298 for Tuscan S it seems. Correct me if I'm wrong?
Another reason why I'm confused about the tvr-parts Tuscan S kit offering 280mm rear discs. Surely that's smaller than standard S rears?
