roof cable

Sunny day in Cornwall, off with the roof... er, no.

Anyone experienced snapped/disconnected cable so that rod that slides into roof panel stays put? Bit of twisting got it off, job for the weekend to get it back on!

This reminds me, I must get throttle cable checked... there's always bloody something!

Have heard of snapped roof cable before, but only on one other car, and I believe it wasnt cheap to fix either....did you get any warning or was it a case of OK one day, snapped the next?
Hope it doesnt cost you too much
