It was Baz Lahrmann that said in his “wear Sunscreen”
Song “do one thing every day thats scares you”.
How about 5th Gear throttle wide open and it’s stuck open on a sweeping A road in Wiltshire!
Now...I thought I was quite savvy to most things but Christ Alive!!! That was scary s&&t!!
A quick stomp on the throttle bought it back and it’s going to Neil Garner tomorrow to get fixed.
My 4.3 is mental!

My flexible friend will be on hand.
I spend a fortune on it and very occasionally think I could have something Italian with more cylinders and it will probably cost less to keep running, but I’m head over heels about my Tuscan.
Why do we do it to ourselves!

Have you made sure that the carpet across the right hand side of the foot well hasn't bulged out preventing the throttle from returning. If it is this then 2 minutes pushing the ecu's and carpet back will fix it for £0.

Don't ask me how I found this out or how long it took me to find it. Gotta love them.

Could be your throttle cable fraying or corrosion on the pedal pivot rod bushings.
I've had both of those experiences.
Used to call it TVR cruise control. smile
