Picked up the units from Gaz including 2 new springs, only cost a couple of hundred including dyno test and 2 new springs. Looking forward to a shakedown and seeing how they feel after a few miles.

Look like they’re new! Well worth spending the money on that to see how they go.

Will you fit them yourself? Interested to know if it’s a big job or not?

It took under an hour to remove all 4! Refitting will take a little longer as I've already discovered some of them are a tight fit to get back in, also have to set the ride height and I'm contemplating buying corner scales to do it properly (and my next 2 cars).

Unsure how they will perform but can't fault the service from Gaz! Only took 2-3 days and can't believe how cheap it was.

Wow, much quicker than I thought…but I’m yet to tinker with my Tuscan.

Hopefully it’ll transform the ride for you.

I'm not convinced but knowing they are tip top will enable me to make adjustments and judge them fairly! Also hope the rear springs will keep the back end a bit more rigid, I know one of the rear dampers was leaking too so can't wait to try it at the weekend with any luck!

That was a quick turn around, especially considering the time of year. thumbup Gaz.
From recent experience it can take them a good few miles to bed in, feeling overly stiff at first, so best to give them a while before making any adjustments.

Hi topcat1

Sounds like you’ve just been through what I’m about to embark upon. Have you got any updates on how the Gaz shocks are performing now vs previously? Have you decided to stick with then or swap then out for something else?

Hi, I've not put many miles on the car this year, but they are a definite improvement over how they were before the rebuild. The slightly stiffer rear springs were an excellent change IMO, it's not race car stiff but I've not had any bottoming out which was common before on certain roads.

I have no intention of changing them at the moment, hopefully I'll get a chance to play with them if I get a combination of decent weather and a break in my work load!!

gaz mono if they still do them.

Everyone thats been in my tuscan is amazed at how compliant it is. The ride quality is almost as good as my cayenne on air suspension. It absorbs bumps very well but is still stiff. iirc 400r 450fr

Pleased to hear this, having just fitted Gaz Mono shocks to my Cerbera. I haven't had a decent run in it yet due to other issues.

I managed to take the Tuscan out for a spirited drive at the weekend, I don't think it has ever felt so good and was a joy to drive round the "twisties".
Unfortunately I haven't driven anything comparable recently but the grip and comfort were fantastic.

It's given me faith in Gaz, especially as the Gold Pro's that I have are not top of the range any more! To top it off I bought a full set of scales so will corner weigh it over winter and check the geometry so it *should* only get better!

I always thought scales were quite expensive, do you mind sharing a link to what you've bought?

It was a bit of an extravagant purchase I won't lie, but I'm building two track cars too so thought I *may* get my money out of them! I bought them from Tegiwa Imports, https://www.tegiwaimports.com/proform-2250kg-race-... They were half the price of the BG ones, I'm sure there is a reason for this but haven't heard anything bad about them and I'm sure they will be OK for my minimal use. I also bought their string line kit, again cheaper than BG, comes in a case and looks good quality.

They look good, but yes, still not cheap by any means. Good luck with your track builds smile

You're welcome to pop your car on them if you take a run out to Essex/Suffolk one day and I'm in, don't expect any magic to be performed by me though laugh

Please keep us updated as to how you get on .. I borrow corner weight scales at the moment so if they perform well and you don't have any issues with them then I will likely get some myself.
