Can anyone tell me which type approvel and crash testing the Tuscan has been through?

When you purchased your new Tuscan what was on the accompanying certificate?

NZ have recently imposed tighter restrictions on imported cars and it's looking like TVRs are no longer welcome!

Do TVR crash test their cars? I never received any certificates or details on this when I purchased my Tuscan last year.

I went to the factory R+D department when they were finishing the Tamora off before the dealer demo's went out and they have a huge triangular piece of iron on a long shaft of steel that just swings out of the roof onto the front of the cars.

Indeed not as sophisticated as Volvo - but I wouldn't like to get in the way of it.

It actually was the business and I remember feeling reasurred that at least this did go on!

Hi Jamie

Not sure what tests they currently adhere to, but my 2000 Tuscan came with a "British National Type Approval" certificate.
It says:
Ministers approval certificate for a low volume motor vehicle of a type covered by a previous certificate.
The secretary of state for Transport, being satisfied that the low volume type approval vehicle which has been manufactured by TVR Engineering Ltd and has the vehicle identification or chassis number (my VIN number here) conforms with the vehicle to which Ministers approval certificate number LC/333/A/034 relates, hereby certifies in pursuance of section 58(4) of the Road Traffic Act 1998 that the vehicle which as the vehicle identification or chassis number mentioned above complies with type approval requirements which are referred to in that Ministers Approval Certificate

Does that help any??
