I'm currently having problems with my drivers door not registering when it is closed, and in turn the window is not moving. Looking through some old threads for inspiration I noticed that tuscanboy had the same problem back in February. You said the fix was a "piece of cake" but didnt go into any detail. Could you enlighten me please?

My window was doing the same. I found out it was damp on the stiker plate in the door well. Good old WD40 done the trick.

If the door is latching correctly and the window acts odd it is likely your window decoder is faulty and needs replacing. It costs £20 odd quid and plugs into the motor within the door. About a good 1/2 hr job to replace.

Isuggest you have a quick word with your dealer

Sorry for the dealy in responding. Don't check this as frequently as I'm now NoTuscanBoy. anyway the symptoms you describe are exactly what I had and it was simply the micro switch behind the the triangular catch plate. If you remove the 3 screws to remove the plate, you will see the black pastic switch with the metal strip behind the catch mechanism. By loosening the switch it can be adjusted so it closes earlier. There is no need to unscrew the bigger screws on the catch mechanism unless the door alighment is out( i.e Leave well alone !)

Thanks for the replies! Seems to be sorted now!? Out of interest, Tuscanboy, why do you no longer have one, and what has replaced it?

The Answer is the same to both - Triplets

Have every intention of re-entering the TVR fold, in the next 2 or 3 years probably at the slightly lower end of the scale (funds having been depleated for above reason) - mind you by then my 15K might buy another Tuscan ;-)
