I have just traded in my 97 Chimaera 500 for an 01 Tuscan. The display has been upgraded in Blackpool. However today being cold I get the FROST warning which keeps on repeating every few seconds (although I keep cancelling it). More worryingly I am getting an error code 'L' displaying intermittantly. Does anyone have any info on this sort of problem or a link to the error code explanations.... Any help to a virgin tuscan owner much appreciated???

Code 'L' normally means the speedo sensor on the diff needs a clean. On early cars this was problematical. TVR have redesigned the sensor and upgraded many Tuscans.

I had the same yesterday. I think the frost warning comes on at 2 degrees - and the temperature must have been between 2 and 3 degrees as the warning kept coming and going. I'm not sure there is anything you can go about that.

And Code L is the speedo reading. I occasionally still get it when stationary or just after reversing. As long as the speedo seems to be displaying a consistent reading it should be OK until the next service.

Cheers,

Andy.

Thanks Guys for the excellent information....I am sure there will be more questions in the coming weeks and I appreciate all the help.
