Wind noise around A-pillar

My car has a loud wind noise around the a-pillar at about 50mph or above on the driver's side only. I was intrigued that it was not happening on the passenger side and noticed that the a-pillar on the passenger side has an extra plastic 'bit' that bridges the void to the window from the a-pillar. It appears to be riveted on. Can anyone have a quick look at their car and let me know whether their cars differ from left to right.

Same both sides as far as I'm aware. Certainly no wind noise to complain about. Sounds like something has dropped off!
