So the £150 pays for your day at Brunters and the Car Control instruction session which is one hour! The current thought is to have two groups of 10 in the morning and two groups of ten in the afternoon doing this, I suspect this will be run on a different part of the Airfield, leaving the main circuit for Open Pit lane or Session type laps

I'm going to suggest to Ed Moore that we try and split this hour tuition into 2 x 1/2 hour sessions with track sessions in between to back up what you have just learnt. A 30 min instruction session is actually quite long - if you're fully in the learning curve it will really dent your brain!(get early sober nights before you do this one)

We have not as yet fully covered the idea of bringing along any other 'guest' instructors - but by the time you have learnt about car stability etc I think you will have almost had enough

As mentioned before, we recently ran a similar event at Bruntingthorpe. The way it really worked best was for each driver to go out on circuit before going out with an instructor or out on their own to simply learn the lines of the circuit (familarisation laps)

I'm going to ask Ed Moore at Motorsport Events to take over the bookings now

Camera? I intend to video it!

Am I gonna be the only girl there? What's up with that??...

Also - I expect there are a few of us coming up from the South, yes? Anyone want to convoy it? Looks like a simple blast up the M1, so we could meet at the first services.

You are Girl number three, or girl number 1 depending on your prowess!

The last day I did at Bruntingthorpe Rivergirrl with a Chim was driving like a pro - her first airfield day!!!
So look out boys we'd better get our act's together!

We're up to 32 cars now, by the way! - keep coming Tuscan Tamers!

That's what I was meaning Lady T, it's really about wether the Girls are gentle with the blokes!!

In reality the competiton element will not be there. The only competition should be with yourself - can YOU improve YOUR Tuscan Driving skill

Drive your own line!

After looking at a couple of used cars I have ordered new. My Red Bull Tuscan is in build and I'm keen to learn more about the car and how to drive it. Can I book a provisional place and confirm closer to the date when I know I'm off that day?

Simon,
As stated on TOG, up for it. Provisional, depending on my car being returned from the factory in time, which is still at Racing Green. I appreciate July 12th is quite some time away, but, but, and more buts.

Simon,

Certainly think this is a good opportunity to get some kind of publicity via the TVR car programmes or other means. This could be the event of the year...I assume we will get Sprint to cover it etc.

Alan.

Geoff are you sure that you don't want 35 odd Tusks doing circuits, emergency stops, and speed runs in the Car Park ? What's the noise limitation ?

Ok...here we go!

Sorry for the long delay Los Amigos, Los Tuscaneros y Tuscaneras!

There is a problem with Bruntingthorpe!! They have set a strict noise limitation of 98db and not only require a static test but have an on circuit meter!

This is the reason for the delay - we have been trying to negotiate with them but they are sticking to their guns

So this brings us on to a new venue!! I just hope this doesn't blow most of you out ?

We will be using Keevil Airfield in Wiltshire, i tried it out on 31st March and thought it was the best Airfield day I have been to. A big, big circuit - maybe two miles. Very clen tarmac for all those worried about stone chips and tyre wear - the dogs dangles of a location, beautiful!

This has altered the date to Monday 14th July - anygood ?

You northern types could make a weekend of it and maybe we could organise a rumble on the Sunday based round a localish pub ? or a BBQ or som'ert ?

So should I start yet another thread based on the new facts or are we ALL going to post back to here ?

All these questions!

Fingers firmly crossed

Simon

Edited to say that I first thought it was a 100db limit and have been corrected, it is in fact a 98db limit! No wonder we can't run here
