Thanks to all for comments both positive and negative . Have yet to have a test drive ,have looked and touched at the local dealer ,but I know if I drive one I 'll be confirmed as mentally unstable . It will probably come down to the flip of a coin .

Back in the 80's my boss used his flash car - testarossa - to pick up women in the following way: drive to trendy wine bar in testarossa. Double park testarossa blocking in as many other cars as possible. Enter wine bar, order champagne, eye up beautiful women. Wait for the inevitable announcement "would the driver of red ferrari please move his car..." Roll eyes, fish keys out of pocket, ask beautiful girl to look after champagne... The really sad thing is, it usually worked, too.

Only trouble is how many people now what a TVR is.
