Hey, I need a new driver's side wiper arm - the whole thing, it cracked at the base.

What's the donor car please?

Would be interested in this, I could do with either replacing mine or giving them a coat of paint.

They must be as used elsewhere, they look pretty standard.

CT are always a bit expensive, I find. I'm gonna have a look around the motor part shop tomorrow, and will report back.

Why can't you buy the arm from a TVR supplier?
Are they out of stock or too dear?

Because there are no TVR dealers or parts suppliers in Ireland, and I need the arm fixed by tomorrow!

Sorted now. The wipers aren't from anything else, the whole assembly including motor and actuatng arms was supplied by Matador.

Although the first part of the wiper arm is very similar to that of a Nissan Almera, which I grafted onto my broken one until the replacement arrived from Clever Trevor.

However at some stage I cocked it all up, and something broke underneath.

So today I removed the panel below the windscreen and had a look. The actuating arms are tubes with plastic joints pushed into the ends - they snap into ball-joints.

One of the plastic joints had come adrift, and just needed pushing back in.

All fixed now!

Incidentally, Matador can supply the Tuscan wiper arms in quantity for 11 quid each, but CT only charge 16 quid, which is fair enough.

Leven do a complete set of wiper arms and blades with a superior washer mechanism.

I can't say they are a great improvement and I had to re-stick the washer bases on to the arms with superglue when they both fell off.
