North Korea owes Sweden €300K for Volvos stolen 40 years ago

In 1974, a proposed trade deal between Sweden and North Korea resulted in 1,000 Volvo 144 saloons being shipped to North Korea. But the North Koreans never paid the bill. Yet Sweden continues to send them a reminder letter twice a year. With 40 years of interest, that bill has ballooned to €300 million.
As for the cars themselves, many of them are still in use as taxis in Pyongyang.
