This caught my eye

Electric cars could be given priority at traffic lights and exempted from one-way systems, under new proposals.

especially this bit

exempted from one-way systems

WFT - exempted from one-way systems

Not practical - how do you get around the normal car in front to take advantage of your electric car's priority?

You could allow EVs to use Bus lanes.

They should have to wait longer as they aren't producing any emmissions.

What a load of bs, I can see it backfiring if it is implemented as if they instil a 'them vs us' mentality then I can see it quickly escalating to EV's being unplugged/snipped when left charging overnight.

So they'd be a police officer listening to check that only the quiet electric 1s go up 1 way street? Then the other cars'll just push it back again? Guess traffic lights can tell from electric & others?

Total own goal. Incentivise consumers to buy electric cars to improve air quality, consequently have combustion engine cars sitting around idling in congested city centre queues.
