What's happened to car side window bottom rubber seals? On many cars now the bottom rubber seal doesn't touch the glass, leaving a gap which could be up to 10mm. Doesn't this mean a lot more water will enter the car doors? I notice older cars have bottom rubber seals which touch the glass and there are no problems with anything like scratching or failed motors.

Is this really "motoring news"?

What car has a 1cm gap between the window glass and the rubber seal?
