driving through Wales on the M4 they have big messgae boards every few miles and closer nearer to big towns and cities, they tell you congested areas and such like, also simple stuff like remember your distance etc....why do they stop at the Severn Bridge!?.....

So thats what they spend the bloody money on it certainly isnt road repairs. see topic 'holey roads' Actually its a good system in theory, ive certainly taken notice of it on match days and left the m4 at a different place than i might otherwise. BUT all they normally use them for is to state crap like 'keep your distance' or 'visibility is poor due to spray on road' (like you wouldnt have already noticed the rain)
