How come you have to pay VAT on something purchased abroad and brought to the UK? Wouldn't you already be paying the Japanese VAT equivalent if the car was purchased over there, and be importing a "second hand" car? It just seems like an awful lot of tax to pay!

chance would be a fine thing, but rwd seems to be premium brands only nowadays, give or take a few exceptions...

there never make another ae86, its not possible with today's safety restrictions, and even if they managed to get it down around 950kg people would moan that its too noisy and doesn't have enough torque, there will only be one ae86 or two levin and Trueno. long live the hachi roku
