When I still yong was, I saw more frequently times the DKW, however never than woody. The vehicle served as transporter for small businessmen and was only with eingefleischten DKW lovers to be seen. By the eternally stinking flagflag flag, which reminded much of cheap motorcycles, the owner set was very small. The gutmuedigen handling characteristics with front wheel drive were its advantage. DKW came by missed model policy into the red numbers and recovered only as VW the company bought up and then also even from the new developments profited.

Perhaps still another word to advertising attribute at that time `Meisterklasse` master class. The quality of the vehicles was at that time not yet so good and the rust came soon. Many repaired their DKW `s themselves and one saw the used putty and differences in color and from master class became in the vernacular Kleistermasse which means many putty..

Sorry, I can say nothing about. English vehicles, up to the mini, which came to it, were very very rare with us. The cars were expensive and it gave few good workshops. EFTA!. Therefore I cannot remember the traveller.
