I like it. Far too big like most modern cars, but I reckon it's far more resolved a design than the Mondeo which is 75% great, 25% "it's Friday afternoon, let's just slap some cheap lights on the back end, forget completely about what it's going to look like with the cheapest wheel option, and bugger off down the pub."

They've got such an uphill struggle with this one against the public though, even if the chassis is as much of a leap forward from the old model as the looks, it's undoubtedly going to come in for loads of the old, "Haven't driven it, but I don't need to drive it" popular opinion stick.

We shall see. Good luck to 'em.

Looks superb. Another nail in the coffin for Ford. Who would want a bloated Mundayo after seeing this?

Hey this car looks so different to all the other rep mobiles out there !

A visit to Halfrauds should sort it out.

Well Clarkson will hate it cause its a Vauxhall (saying that he likes the Monaro so there is hope)

I recon it doesn't look half bad compared to the competition. Its likely (or hopefully) will be a darn sight cheaper than a BMW 5 series and if it drives well would certainly be giving it a good tryout instead of a dynamically-questionable 407 or a Mondeo etc..

[/quote]....the mondeo comes out TOP in every road test in europe for handling/ride(if it wasent for the original mondeo in th 90's most repmobiles would be awfull to drive!!)...so its dynamics are amogst the best...even bmw etc, looks are in the eye of the beholder...so for my mind driving dynamics will always come top....most vauxhalls fall short in that area!!!

If vauxhall engineers who apparently tuned the current vectra (facelift) to uk roads have done the job panic !!! the one thing the current vectra has is clever technology full can-bus electrics and a very solid build mine may handle like a greased pig on an ice rink but in both accidents ive had in it its shrugged them off !! so thats a positive then !!

the insignia (could have picked a better name) i reckon will be a cracking car , gm cant afford to f**k up right now ,the cabin will be of decent quality and it will feel very solid , i doubt it will run the mondeo for handling but for build and technology it will have it licked , the passat hasnt got a chance against it !

i'm sure the inside will be rubbish but you can't have every thing.

er... so, the front looks like an Eos with a Chrysler badge, on a honda grille, and the back looks like a beemer that mated with a proton gen-whatever-its-called....

Way to go GM, so your designers can stitch other cars together in photoshop :s

It's more interesting than the last 2 or 3 chavaliers I guess, but we'll have to wait and see if it's **actually not** a highly buffed turd.
