hmmmm

how long would it take to get this device "chipped" so that no matter how fast you drive it only ever shows a max of 70mph. Then cheap insurance for all

or insert a laptop into the device's info queing system input your fictional journey and then let it transmit that as you drive along any way you wish.

I do agree though this tricknology is worrying in the long term. Thin edge of the wedge etc etc

I heard this on the radio this morning. Straight away thought of several of the objections I've seen here. Also thought that the numpties on the school run in their 4x4s are the exactly the ones who should have their premiums INCREASED, especially where they have those fashionable child murdering bars fitted to the front (but that's another story)

Then I worried that I was getting paranoid in my old age. Then I read PistonHeads and remembered that just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get me. Yet again, a potentially useful piece of technology that will be used primarily to penalise motorists. Same old, sad story

yeah, but there is a subtle irony here, isn't there? the more bull bars, the less genetic waste we have to put up with....

If you are not insured if they do not get a signal then remember not to have an accident in a tunnel.
