Another update

I put a new set of HT leads on and 2 new coil packs in a hope to sort out the misfire. Reset throttle bodies and linkage.

Took it for a blast yesterday and all seems very very well biggrin.

Covered about 20miles a pushed it right up to the limiter on several occasions and not a single misfire, in fact I'd say pulling much cleaner than at anytime this year so maybe there was a slow breakdown somewhere.

Unfortunately had to cancel the last 4 or 5 track days of this season as I have slipped disc which isn't conducive to hurtling around a track in a TVR.

Will have to wait till next year to have some fun again on the track.

these are the old ones.

Latest updates of the supercharged Cerbera. On the last 2 trackday this year in hot weather the Cerbs brakes have become marginal.

Maybe its my driving, maybe its the extra power but either way they don't inspire confidence when the car is pushed hard especially with the AR1 tyres fitted which allow you to push on so much harder in the dry.

I was running the standard TVR AP calipers bells and rotors all round with DS2500 pads front and back. I had replaced the fluid. After about 5 or 6 laps of Castle Coombe the brakes were faiding and the discs a deep blue. Had a very scary moments at Avon Rise so decided to look at upgrades.

There's several different kits available but I ended up choosing the 6pot 360mm hi spec kit with floating discs and the largest CL pad i could get.

The call it their mega monster extreme kit which would look great in the pages of "Max Power" magazines. Thoes were the days.

Anyway kit arrived earlier than expected and certainly appears to be the real deal. Everything included, looks well engineered and beautifully finished.

Kit includes, calipers, bolts, brackets, bells, discs, brake lines, fluid and pads. Absolutely everything you need.

So the cars been up on the ramps again.

Full fluid service, engine oil, gearbox oil, diff oil, new CL rear pads, Brake bias valve so I can adjust front to rear braking effort and the new brake kit.

If its not wet im going to be at Brands Hatch on the 8th August so ill let you know how i get on

Only trying to be helpful here

So if you take the dust seals off does it solve the issue. Nearly every road car caliper has dust seals and don't have issues.

Are you 100 % sure you don't have a warped disc somewhere on the car. I had this and it caused the exact issues you have. Id clock the discs for run out and thickness when then are secured firmly on the hub. When you bleed and test the brakes on a stationary car they seem perfect. As soon as you go down the road you have a soft peddle.

If thats all perferct it might be worth replacing the master cylinder.

Got to be absolutely sure its totally bled well. 1 small bubble and you're stuffed.

Did you use a pressure bleeder because they save a massive amount of hassle.

Anyway good luck in solving the problem. Keep us posted.
