Hi,

My Cerbie 4.2 is considering a face lift, Front and rear light conversions. Has anybody had this done? And at what cost. I’ve spoken to TVR bodyshop (webbs) and they have quoted 1750inc that includes a front end spray.

Cheers,

Pagles

Whilst looking at some cars at the TVR Centre in Barnet, I asked out of curiosity what it would cost for the front end light upgrade and was told about £3,000

£3k? Someone was talking bollox mate! Less than a grand if you don't take the Xeon lights options, including respray.

My thoughts precisely! This is a dealer doing the work though (or sending it back to TVR to have it done).

Mike

We were going to have the Zertec lights on our Chimaera 500 at the same time as a front end respray including the bonnet (which had a deep indentation) and done through Hawthorns at Farnham. We did not go ahead as we chose a new Cerbera instead but they did the respray before they sold the Chimaera and the result was brilliant. We never got as far as the price including the lights.

Look up pinkney in the members bit and ask him. He has both ends converted (don't know whether he did the fronts but he had the afterburners fitted after he bought it).

Hope this helps.

Hi Pagles, just read this post and as MikeyT mentioned mine has recently had the Zertec afterburners fitted. The front conversion had been carried out before I got the car but these are the TVR Bodyshop ones. The Zertec versions are seamless (blended in to the bodywork) and I believe include the indicators as well. From what I have seen IMO the Zertec ones look far better (might get mine blended in eventually).

Mikey, your name's top of the list - just waiting for something better to come along (TuscanR!?)

Because you can never have too much power, gazzab. Won't be changing the cerb for a while yet as IMO it is still the best TVR out there. I think I will fancy a change in a year or two though, but don't know what I'll be going for (will definitely be another TVR though).
