Began the strip down - it will be very slow progress. Last night was already uncharted territory for me, and that was just removing the intake system and rad.

I put mine in storage today, Not really feeling the love for it this summer, I have done 4k in it with a trip to LMC and a tour round France.

With the purchase of my classic mini I prefer it over the cerbera just now. I am away to work for a 6 week trip next week any way so back mid September, I might take it one last hoon when i get before the tax is up and try rekindle my love for it.

Wow, 30 years ago I loved mini's, raced mini's, had a trick tuned mini van.

Drove one a couple of years ago again and it's true, you should never go back. Things had moved on so much, the car felt very small and vulnerable on the road.

Loving the Cerb. Didn't have it for 10 months whilst the chassis was being done, still gives me pleasure every time I drive it.

Oil and filter changed, boot struts changed, boot aligned (ish) o/s headlamp reflector replaced, wiper blades ,arms and washer jets replaced , washer pipe repaired (old one melted on exh manifold), big fuse and holder replaced, interior lamp bulbs replaced , number plate lamp bulbs replaced, new number plates fitted, and bit of diagnosis into the n/s door not opening. That was yesterday.

Today the plan is replace other headlamp reflector, fix the door , change the brake fluid , clean the interior replace the gear knob , rewire the stereo , refit the front seats, put the wheels on and if there's time drive it.

I'm going to the ford fair with my son tomorrow so if it's not finished today it will have to wait another week.

I know exactly what you're saying, it is very backwards of me. I have been so caught up in Tvr for 7 years a little change is fun, parts are so cheap running it the same.

I will never sell my Cerbera but feel I have spent so much time and money on it now the fun factor is not what it used to be. Using all that power on the road is getting hard, I never seem to be home to fit track days in so missing that side of cerbera ownership.

I loved the hoon to Le mans classic in it just not so much of lately I had 4 cars until yesterday ( sold our super charged BMW cooper s). The key bowl is sitting there and the little mini seems to get picked out the 4 cars ha ha.

Strange and it only has 50 bhp I guess Chris Harris and I have similar views like him with his 2cv http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=76ktMcCDZvk

I just feel more relaxed and take more in, as much fun in a different way I guess, not a everyday car as like a Tvr I would get pee'd off in the deapths of winter.

I unlocked the bonnet catch, as I'm unlikely to use the car anytime soon as I'm away from home for much of the next month or so. Returning to find the battery flat would be irritating if the bonnet were locked. However hopefully the new Varta D39 will be fairly resilient.

Went out for a hoon (well to fetch the Sunday Times actually) and turned down an offer of £16,000! which was nice! so as a consolation prize I took him for a spin (just to show off a bit) and introduced him to PH's - good day's work! He loved the ride and the car, but sadly (for him) I will never sell her xxx

Technically not today but Friday... Picked her up from Andy at APM after a 12,000m service. Soooo much smoother to drive, thanks Andy.

Won't mention cost per mile yet, purchase price+two tyres+service = not good for 700 miles to date. Every mile from now on will get cheaper (I hope !).

Can't wait for drive to work and back tomorrow smile

Took her out for a blast in the sunshine, bit of motorway cruising and a bit of "A" road fun!
Then washed and dried her and tucked her up in the garage.
All is good in Cerbera world!

Fixed the dodgy connection that was stopping the windscreen from heating.
Removed half a pillow full of feathers in the air intake and radiator from the pigeon that suicided its self in the front grill last week.
Replaced the number plates (see above!)
Fixed the rattly passenger window.
Fixed the headlight connection that was making the passenger side light flicker.
Added running in mileage - now at 760!

Yesterday approaching traffic lights with 3 lanes and an idiot in a Golf GT decided to weave around to get in front of me at the lights. Grand prix start to the next lights just 100m ahead which were red. So pulled alongside and taught him not to mess with a Cerb. Childish but bl##dy satisfying...

One needs to promote the marque whenever the opportunity permits!

I'm on holiday, wanting to get back and get my hands on lumpy....
