That place really does seem to have it in for you;-)
This was a replacement for the CircuitDays trackday in April last year that was cancelled due to fog. So I guess you have a point. However I'm returning in a couple of weeks for DN14, we'll see how that goes.To be honest, any Ring Trip where you get to drive home again afterwards I consider to be a Result.

I got it out of the garage for the first time this year, and went round the block a few times, thought it was running lumpy until i realized I had left the handbrake on... Cooked the brakes...
Lost count of the number of times I've done that...Drove home today from Lancashire through the Trough of Bowland
Well I can't say that I've done all this lot in a day but recently I've tackled the followed:
All fluids, out with the old and in with the new
Refitted the calipers, new braided brake hoses (need to bleed the system again, doesn't feel firm enough)
PTFE braided fuel lines in the rear nearside wheel arch inc. new filter
Finally fitted my new Protech dampers (just need to set the ride heights now)
Fitted the nice and shiny chassis brace
Headlights reassembled together with direct wiring loom
New front anti-roll bar bushes
New bolts in the steering UJs
plus a load of other stuff that I've forgotten about.
So, for the first time in probably 7 months, the car moved under it's own steam albeit only down the drive where I washed it and promptly drove it back into the garage ready for some detailing
Also just booked it into X Works Service for valve clearances and MOT.
With all the tinkering I've been doing I'll hopefully have a great summer including my first trip to Le-Mans for many years.
I'll post some pictures when I've finished the spit and polish

Well not today but in the last 2 weeks I've tackled about the worst jobs on a Cerb.
It all started with a damaged flywheel.
In the end I fitted: new lightweight flywheel, new AP clutch, new RP slave, new front discs, new front and rear pads, new diff mounting bracket, new diff polybushes, new rear ARB polybushes, SS brake lines, and finally my new shiny SS chassis brace…
The driveline shunt is gone and it all feels tighter then ever.
The worst job were the diff bushes. what a PITA!!!
Even with the diff out it was near impossible.
Hope i'll never have to change them again now that they're polybushes
Pretty sure it all cost me about a square foot of skin and a pint of blood.
But very happy with the results.
And she revs up like my bike now
I quickly forgot she'd already cost me near £4k this year

After it's fresh service and MOT it would be rude not to use it so I took it for a near on 100 mile tour of Hampshire and West Sussex finest hooning roads today, didn't see one other TVR. Spotted a few Porkers, 993/964 type, Astons, Jags and a Diablo though.
Had a big bike have a prolonged play, letting me go first past all the normal cars on our path with him following, got a big thumbs up at the end after what must have been 20 miles of fun.... I really must adjust the suspension from comfort mode to hooning mode next time though!

More of a weekend but I took her (wife and car) away to Stratford upon Avon.
While parking in a very busy town today where we were having dinner compliment number 1 from an 80ish yr old woman who herself once had an e-type. Awesome sound she said really is the best thing I've seen and heard today.
After leaving restaurant a few pics are being taken and after being complimented was asked if he could take s few of the interior. Never seen anything like this he said.
Then finally as prepping to get in and go AlanC (a Tamora owner) and his wife said hi and had a nice chat about why TVR are just the best. He made me a little jelous as his was bought from the origin factory and has his name engraved on the engine bay (that's a magic touch and adds £20k to the value in my eyes for a truly bespoke original).
Followed by more noise on startup and some lovely waves and smiles in Shakespeare country.
To be or not to be!

Completely agree. I was too lazy to do the front bushes, the rear was difficult enough. I happened to check back there the other day and found one of the rear mount bolts had escaped, they really are very awkward to torque up with the exhaust in place.Even with the diff out it was near impossible.
