Same here....look superb and light as a feather, but mine are bloody tight fit and a bugger to attach/detach though. Might look to modify the support brackets on mine.

The 4.5 with short induction looks so much better than the 4.2 bay...

Hi Steve wavey
Do those hose clips (that attach the hoses to the airboxes) have 'jubilee' clips that came with the kit or did you supply them yourself (in which case can you remember the size ?)

Are they bulkier than the standard ones ?

Hi,

I bought the ACT CF backplates as the originals were in bad (crushed) condition. The backplates fit very well to the original airboxes - no problems at all and very strong.

Does anyone know if these can be modified to fit the 4.2 inlets?

I'm wondering if the larger volume of the 4.5 air box has any benefit over the smaller 4.2 ones... Also Carbon fibre, mmmm

No same size as near as dammit, but its a TVR, so there's always variations....could be the mounting screw holes are slightly different to my old boxes or that I need to trim down the induction hoses as they could be causing the slight mis-alignment.

It can be done, but I think you would have to cut and graft the mounting section of the 4.2 air box onto the 4.5 ones

I bought them as well but they don't fit very wel with my short induction.
It would be better if they were a bit tilted.

Wash your mouth out with soap. No discoloured hoses on the 4.2, just proper mechanical engineering

Not sure it's a purity issue :-)

If people need 4.5 air box brackets then do not hesitate to ask.
