Ooops, too much right foot and a wet road.

I have managed to get the car in to a lamp post and up the pavement! The front passenger side wheel has been pushed back and the suspension mounts are looking very mangled. Insurance company has arranged the vehicle to go to a specilaist, the last repair agent took one look and said no way. Steel was more his thing

Any one know if this is usual ( the damage not the crash ) and if so is it costly, I am worried they will try to write the car off.

The only other body damage is the front wing and damaged wheels and tyres.

Try TVRbodyshop (for the bodywork at least).
They did a repair on my front end (albeit a very very minor one) and a headlight upgrade with a front end respray. First class job.

Sadly mine was not an insurance job since it was done by someone in a car park (who didn't leave details) and it was going to cost less than my £250 excess.

Not sure who to contact for the chassis damage though.

As this is obviously more than a parking knock, P.R.Wood in Westcliffe-on-Sea (Essex) are the (only) TVRcc insurance approved repairers. They do a superb job and also can fit our headlight upgrades including the S12 versions.

as there's chassis damage I doubt any factory (ie daeler) authorised repairer would get to do it, it'd be written off .. the factory won't let the dealers repair the chassis, it must be returned to the factory and a new one sent out for the car. I gather there must be at least a corner's worth of fibreglass, maybe a front end, reckon on 3k for the front end, same for a chassis? plus time and paint and all the little bits and pieces and all of a sudden it's uneconomical. There are however lots of people out there willing to weld some repair sections into the chassis / do the fibreglass damage much cheaper. can i throw the phone number for Brendan in Mansfield into the pot .. 07815101096 .. does crash damaged TVRs all day long.
