Perhaps you could put that link in the RS-AJP wiki at the top of the Cerbera page DM?

Hi, can anyone help me with this one:

I have a Nexus 7 and I have downloaded and installed the AJP app. This appears to work but I haven't yet connected it to the car.

I tried to install the Nexus shared layout:
Nexus 7 (1920x1200) Custom from thefrog http://slideshows.scullard.com/2015/2015-06-15-AJP...

However this link downloads an "rs-ajp" file which my Nexus can't open, what am I doing wrong here ?

RS-AJP update.

I can now confirm that the following items work perfectly with RS-AJP and I now have this working in my car and it's so good.

Nexus 7, eBay item number:175107264440
RS232 serial cable adapter, eBay item number:303561406781

Hi guys
Apologies for the bump, I've read through the 41 page thread and was determined I wouldn't be one of those guys.. but...
I can't get it to connect.
I've bought a few different usb to serial leads and tried a few different OTG leads and a few different android devices and can't get anything to happen.
These are the leads I've got currently

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance and sorry for being a noob!

It's most likely the serial to usb lead, Prolific chipset is required, this one is known to work.

I had tried a couple I already owned at home before buying the right one.

The one I have is prolific, but I'll buy this one too and hopefully it'll work for me (will be my 4th serial to usb lead 🤣.

Make sure your phone has power and data switched on for the usb port, and not just data. The cables need power to operate and they're usually usb powered.

Most likely this if you have a good serial lead, need to go into usb options and play about smile

Oh that's great! smile

The app is so good, the logging function allows you to export to csv, and then read at your leisure. Love it.
