Wow, that Staright Six car is amazing as a package - the safety is built in at that price (12k service plus parts and labour warranty on "wear and tear" items)!!! You cannot go wrong for the first 12 months of ownership.
Ok 40k is a lot but the "package" is worth it along with it being a Red Rose car too as that will hold its value even moreso than a standard V8. If the OP is not handy with the spanners then a deal of this nature must be the way to go?
Only £10k over budget tho' cry

At that price point though, you'd be able to pick up a F Type which arguably has similar levels of drama as the Cerbera given its misfires and exhaust setup.
Which would be worth more in five years' time scratchchin

Plus the cerbera would be quicker and more exclusive.

Agreed 10k over budget is a lot! As I said if no good with the "spanners" then this is a safe purchase.
If not a Cerb for 30k I would expand the search even further - an M6 with a remap? I know I'm going to get slaughtered but that would definitely be in my two car garage after my first love of course!

Very helpful comments, thanks.

Coincidentally, the RR at Str8six is one I've been following since it was being prepared.

At that price point though, you'd be able to pick up a F Type which arguably has similar levels of drama as the Cerbera given its misfires and exhaust setup.

Some or most of you might consider that blasphemy of course!

More importantly, is the premium for the RR worth it given you can replicate the setup by using a standard 4.5 as I understand?
There is the premium for it being a genuine RR, plus if you wanted to replicate it, it would involve an engine rebuild.. Higher comp/headwork/remap.

Have you driven that RR?

I'd guess you haven't - however, you should before you make any decisions smile

(Plus a RR with a CR gearbox is quite something!)

Any healthy Cerbera is quite something tbh.

you know there is a Cerbera event this weekend:

York Raceway and convoy to TVR Finale
Weekend of 30th Sept & 1st Oct 2017.

I used to own the other RR that Str8six have up for sale, albeit at a time they were not worth as much (not telling my wife how much it is worth now)! Great car and a real experience. I bottled it after a year as I was always worried it wouldn't start even though it did every time and cost me nothing in the year I had it. With the warranty it looks a great proposition with a nice bit of history being the show car. I still get the shivers when I remember the sound at full throttle.

Forget the f-type.....its depreciating the Cerb isnt......and in terms of all out theatre.......TVR kicks Jag ( standfast d-type....e type and xj220) into the weeds.......!!!
