I’m going to refresh the heat shield material above the exhaust that protects the prop shaft etc. What would you recommend for sticking it to the Aluminium, silicone RTV?

Sorry, that wasn't very helpful was it.

When I bought some heat shielding it came with a tube of "contract 225 industrial silicon". It doesn say on it that it is good in heat but I am guessing that it wouldn't have been supplied if it wasn't up to the job.

smile Thanks for that, I’ll go with silicone. The rivets will help too of course.

Yep, that’s the one.

I did use plenty of rivets as well.

So far, it’s stayed on fine, but the car has done less than half a mile since!
