Well I think that's what it's called.
The question is, would someone enlighten me as how to undo this nut.

Cheers

With a decent impact wrench. Hopefully you still have the timing chain fitted and spark plugs in to help provide some resistance.

Yes, you are right CerbWill
Step back grab a coffee have ten minutes and have the right tools. Now I’m not sure if it needed to have that much silicone covering the oil seal.

It was probably leaking..

Just had this fun myself, nearly slit my own throat as the nut cracked off! (Note to self, don't use a lever bar with a pointy end..)

Just in case anyone else fancies a go here’s the rest.
Remove spacer

Remove oil seal

New oil seal

When replacing the pulley remembering the key that fits into the slot on the shaft, with the pulley back on the shaft I found it quite easy to put the 24mm locknut and washer back on and as you tighten it pushes the pulley back into position.

HTH
cheers

Out of interest is there a bearing just after the oil seal and can it be pulled?

There is 2 bearings and they can just be knocked out.
