Anyone had any experience with their cherry bomb exhausts? Looks like a much cheaper option than going for the ACT exhaust.

Would not be my choice. I had an exhaust done by them for an MG Midget, the quality of welding was poor and the fit not good. Given what a simple system it was I was very disappointed and eventually threw it away and bought a system from an established supplier.

It may look a cheaper route but my experience ended up costing me.

I have the ACT cherry bomb system on both my cars and the fit and finish is excellent. The one for the Griff I bought earlier this year came with all the clamps and fittings. The added bonus is the rear tail pipes are separate (not sure if that’s just the Griff one?), so made fitting and lining up much easier.

There was a big back log of orders when I ordered mine but it was well worth the wait, in my opinion anyway. Over the years I have bought many things from ACT and find them one of the best companies to deal with in TVR circles.

Lastly, just say I am in no way connected to ACT, just a very happy customer.

Christian.

This, although on an Alfa Spider. Terrible.

Ive had a couple of side pipes made up to order by them, perfectly good quality welding wise, but they are mild steel, and the paint they use comes off. My pipes have been fine with a fresh coat of decent heat proof paint every few years however , and were a quarter of the cost of anything else like it, so I have no complaints.
