It is! Most Cerb batteries are 70-90Ah!

The D39 Varta in mine is 63Ah

I reckon 10Ah would be perfectly adequate for a car used mainly on track, and not stored outside in the winter

I'm just about to order some aluminium chassis braces if any one is after one.

They are 2.4kg. 4mm thick

How times change .. I had 10 made about 12 years ago because I thought they were a good idea. Sadly nobody else did and I ended up giving several of them away!

Impressed with your commitment

Not impressed that once you shell out over £700 for the battery, you need to spend another £200 for the mounting kit...

More time has elapsed for more of them to be bashed and bent by speedhumps!

Also true, but many are now looking at ways to improve them to help them keep up with some of the more modern machinery!

How about a carbon fibre prop shaft, that would save a few Kg?

Are the terminals the right way round for the cerb?

I'm pretty sure that back in the day, nick chandler (nickcc .. his cerbera red rose is still the most powerful factory AJP I ever tested at 440hp) investigated this but I'm not sure if he ever went through with it.

no they aren't, but the battery is smaller i length and width, so hoping i can get round this, if not it goes back

I fitted a battery to my Cerbera with the terminals rearmost instead of fwd, (+ve still closest to the engine), i.e. the 'wrong way round' due to a good deal on a type 075. The leads had plenty of length in them no so problem.

I'd have to take the scuttle panel off if it needed a jump start but that's only 2 screws. smile

I fitted this:
https://www.antigravitybatteries-uk.co.uk/extreme-...

to my race car, opted for it because of the high (680) cranking amps although my car only has a 2.2 4 pot, it seems to want a chunky wedge of torque to start it.
Only weighs a 1.4 kilos, less than the 18kg battery it replaced!

This looks promising, how long have you been running it for? Any issues?
