So had a bit of a practice run with Joolz - the finest tuner I have met yesterday.

Was most happy with the 412lbft of torque the AJP made at 5300rpm!!

Home built 4.7, X pipe, Whirlwind, Joolz MBE remap

Yes, 412lbft sounds amazing, even though that is obviously a very expensive build

My 4.5 only makes 360 (H pipe, Whirlwind, Joolz MBE remap), so you have an extra 15% torque, with just 4% more displacement

Very impressive

Think mine is a smidgen under 400 lbft albeit red rose and some head work. The 4.7 extra capacity and extra torque match at circa 4% I think.

This is going to be really interesting and was the whole point of the discussion. Just what do various upgrades give you for the money....

Surely a test run with joolz is cheating biggrin

Yeah, having been a victim of Tesco's contaminated fuel I won't ever use them again. I stick to shell v-power

If your car has been fine tuned to run on super won’t it be risking pinking at higher revs running it flat chat on standard unleaded?

This is more a question rather than any clever knowledge I have, I just remember being told unleaded is ok as long as your not revving it to high if it’s been timed to run on 99, V max etc.

I generally reset the adaptives when abroad and can't get super unleaded, seems to cope fine, although I need to reset again when back on vpower

Christmas is coming and....... petticoat politics means I'm highly likely have to pull out.

A minimum round trip of c5-6 hours a house full of kids a stressed wife and with only two subsequent weekends to do all the xmas stuff equals very little Christmas cheer.

I'm still thinking of taking the wrath .......if I get there have some sympathy as I'll likely be sleeping in the car over Christmas

Speaking as a father of four of whom are now grown up. Christmas is well overrated and even they will tell you that!

How many times have I heard from them, "mum, dad, it's just a large meal with a few extra lights!

All this additional stress, spending, keeping up etc is all bks, believe me.......
