Hi Y'All,

Big problem with the Steering Colmn Cabling, behind the wheel.

I have become confused with, what-goes-where, with the 10-line cables.

There is a socket at the bottom of the Steering Column housing.

There is a socket (alongside the smaller socket) on the "Steering Wheel functions Control Unit" Box

and on top of the Steering Column PCB there are 2, 10-line sockets.

Does anyone have any idea which cable end fits into which socket ??

Ta !

PJ

To sumarise for others, who may be as lost as I am, if I may, Big G's post....

The top, 10-line rail, of the Steering Colmn PCB is for Indicators/Hazards

Therefore the whole path that the signal takes is

from steering buttons,

.....to Steering boss,

..........to ribbon, to another ribbon

....................to steering wheel ecu/indicator cancellation (Sensors located on PCB),

..............................to steering wheel ecu box (Steering Wheel Functions Control Unit)

This leaves the bottom, 10-line rail (of the Steering Column PCB) to connect to the plug below the Steering Column (above the A/C Vent - Or, in my case, the Oil Temp Guage)

Simples banghead
