Hi Paul
Good news on the Radtec expansion tank front, it seems.
Dare I ask the total cost for your new item as I'm just one other interested in purchasing one from them?
Kind regards
Simon.

Yes, of course, it cost £252 including delivery to Luxembourg.
Whatsmore, it arrived this morning, so Gavin was true to his word.
I have also received apologies from Accounts and one of the Directors so I am not feeling too peaved
I also have to report that, when my radiator blew up on me whilst I was visiting the UK, they managed to courrier one out to me in less than 20 hours - a service that I was very grateful for at the time.

But surely that's for the input hose... from the coolant manifolds via the Y-piece.I'm concerned in how the excess pressure relief is handled... is there a valve incorporated in the cap? ...in which case it will just puke over the top of the tank, and run down the inner wing on to the chassis as per OE plastic Audi reservoir
If nothing even more elegant could've been envisaged, why oh why not have had an old school double seal cap in a neck with a vent tube off the side? At least that could be then diverted direct to the road...

Hi Mark,
Nice pic - Mine's not as nicely finished as that
BUT
The bigger point is Did it come with that beautiful Aluminium Pressure Cap ??
(Coz mine didn't )

That, on top of the poor design (see previous post)...
You've just saved me £252

Yup, I may have to have to use a whole can of elbow grease on that
Have one on me

Damn, also just noticed that your Filler Spigot is in the correct place.
My Lower spigot is completely offset so that the unit wont fit in the mounting frame
and the front, inside corner doesn't allow the Windscreen Cowl to be fitted - not that the Filler Cap would be lined-up to meet it.
Ah well, another mail off to Radtec, I guess

Yup, I've still got probs.
Bottom hose wouldn't reach so had to displace it.
Now the top spigot is set too close to the tank top so can't get the top hose and circlip on.
No response from them
AND
after John's comments, I checked the Wiper Panel fitment and the cap they supplied won't fit
Things I wish I hadn't started #921

Had to "relieve" the scuttle panel on my mate's Cerb when we fitted it.. Bottom hose wouldn't reach so had to displace it.

There may be room to move the bracket nearer the bulkhead
Wotcha Mate !Mine is hard on (!) the Windscreen Wiper Motor.
Am trying to relocate it at the mo' but it looks like it may take some bodywork surgery to do that
Talkin' of which, has anyone ever fitted a more efficient wiper motor ??

Now ths is an interesting expression. As far as I can see, the secondary scuttle has to be moved further away from the primary scuttle to align with the misplaced Tank filler neck.
it's theoretically easy to do with the tabs underneath the scuttle
BUT
the screw threads, which retain the front ends, would have to be drilled and set forwards in the fibreglass inner wing and I'm not prepared to go to those lengths to fit a bit of bling that cost me over £250 and doesn't "do what it says on the tin!".
Sorry, starting to lose it
