All we need now is a runway and a Porsche that has a. manual gearbox and b. no tc
I feel a race coming on.
I had a good race with 997.2 Turbo S at Snetterton once, lasted about 20 mins.I feel a race coming on.
I couldn't get on the power as early as him out of the corners, his traction gave him a big advantage there, by half way down the straights he was in my way holding me up
You did well to real that in. Is yours an LS Cerb ?

I could corner quicker than him as well, the Porker getting quite unsettled in the faster corners where as the Cerb is so planted in fast corners.
In summary the Cerb was the quicker car round Snetterton.

He said he was pushing as hard as he could, the stability control was helping him on the corners and I could see that from behind.
The weight in the Porsche I would say was its biggest hinderance, it was why I could brake so much later his only real advantage was traction out of the corners. 60-100 the Cerbera was probably quicker and the 100-140 definitely the Cerb was quicker.
Once in pointing straight the Cerbera was quicker at every point.
During a Tour du Mont Blanc rallye (this is a navigation rallye but this is tempting to let a bit if rubber on the road), I was participating with my MGB GT (4 cylinders) with my brother driving and me navigating. At the end of the day, a guy driving a 911 from the 80s came to us asking if the MG was stock surprised on how well it was performing compared to his Porsche.
I'm sure that you can give me whatever supercar possible, give to a professional driver a standard family car, and he will beat me around a twisty circuit.
We have a member of the French TVR Car Club racing with his Cerbera and he is fighting with GT3 (the engine is stock but he has reduced a bit the ratio of the gearbox).

Watching Phil in his old zero shift Cerbera spanking super cars was always a joy. I'm sure that you can give me whatever supercar possible, give to a professional driver a standard family car, and he will beat me around a twisty circuit.

Yeh, power to weight wise, I expected those things to have been quicker off the line. My 4.2 was easily beating the tuned E55’s to over 100mph, but after a mile and at higher speeds, I could see them starting to haul me in.
He had me from the line, I wasn't expecting launch control and he sat there on the redline, so I was just expecting him to wheelspin it. I caught him in second gear, pulled ahead in third and won by only a few car lengths, I think we were fairly even. I left it in fourth and redlined at just under 160 so didn't lose time pulling 5th Hedgetrimmer said:
I love the rants about speed and which car is faster. Speed was 50% of the decision for me as I was also looking for a car that is amazing fun to drive, gets some nice attention and makes me want to get up in the morning for a quick blat. The GT3 fits my needs best at the moment but I might still buy a Cerb in the summer for that extra shot of adrenalin.
After a GT3 and Mclaren 650s I am now the owner of a Cerbera AJP 4.5😂

For me (manual 991.2), the outright drama of the Cerbera always wins.
Of course the GT3 would leave it for dead, any situation, any road. But quite simply, the Cerbera is more fun, by virtue of being more compromised and challenging to extract performance from (without ending up in a hedge) - that’s the charm.
Enjoy the GT3, it’s an absolutely epic car and quite bullet-proof. Residuals are stellar too.
That's exactly why there is a Cerbera on my drive now and the GT3 has gone. I bought a Mclaren 650s in between which was only fun at obscene speeds. The GT3 and 650s have layers of feel missing compared to the Cerbera. When I get home after driving the Cerbera I am just pleased to be still alive where as I was pleased to not be arrested when I got home after driving the 650s.Of course the GT3 would leave it for dead, any situation, any road.
