Where are we on recommended tyre sizes for RLs's now. Is the advice still to go for 255/40 x 17 for the rear and 225/45 x 17 for the front?
I would say, yes that's the best combination in 17". Especially when you try to find similar tyres for front and rear. And I'm still voting for Michelin PS4 - perfect tyre in my opinion when you are not doing track days only.

I went 225/45/17 and 245/45/17, a bit tight on the back.
Thanks both.I've always used Goodyear Eagle F1's, seem to work well and better the devil etc...
That means I don't need to change size on the rear.
However - car now on axle stands, wheels removed and all tyres have 6mm of tread. By eye on the car they looked a lot less, so panic over for now.
Just need to start cleaning and checking underneath now.
