A 64kW pack with electronic of a Tesla weights 430kg.
Here it should be about the half, the AJP8 is light, but this car was previously equipped with a LS. And if you remove the gearbox, you should be close to the 200kgs, no? And the electric engine will compensate the weight of the fuel tank.
I asked on instagram, plan is batteries in the front at the moment, I suggest boot for extra range and weight distribution but as they plan this as a track/race car I don't think they are worried about range. Tesla motor is better than the Hyper 9 as it runs a higher voltage/more power output.

AJP is what 175Kg? So gearbox, rear diff and engine would be around 250kg so about the 32Kw battery plus electronics. That just leaves the weight of the Tesla motor and gearbox, for 400bhp and all power delivery so should be capable. Only thing as said the weight distribution

Once you remove the fuel tank, that frees up some space for batteries. Maybe only loose a little bit of boot - or not?

Depending on the required range I would think you could get a battery pack where the engine was and one at right angles in front of it, overlapping where the rad was. One or two in the boot given lack of fuel tank. I think they would keep the diff if the motor is going in the tunnel.

What would be really cool is a motor for each wheel with associated electronics for torque vectoring smile

This is what excites me about the future and EVs. Just because it's possible. smokin
Now someone also needs to revisit fully active suspension. By fully active, I mean every link is a computer controlled ram. So that's two per wishbone, one replacing each suspension unit, and also the track rods. Think about it... nerd

AJP minus throttle bodies/flywheel is 120kg.. I picked mine up to load it in to the back of my truck with a bad back. It is no where near 175kg.

I had it in my mind a fully loaded ancilleries and all was 175Kg? 120Kg is even better than I thought

Part of me hates this but i am intrigued to see if they can build a decent electric Cerbera. If it’s not got instant acceleration and if it doesn’t blow super cars into the weeds then it will be a bit pants. I assume that the lack of traction control will have an adverse impact on handling and acceleration.

Cheers. I looked on Instagram and can’t see any info since the first pics when they were stripping it down. I have a Facebook account but assume there’s no update there either.

Electrogenic responded, said it took a pause because the owner was distracted but it's back in the workshop and expected to finish in about 3 months.

Just looked on Instagram and there’s no mention. Assume that it’s not yet complete.

I chatted to them at Bicester a few months back and enquired. It's one of their employees/engineers and he's been distracted on other work. Not much info then, but he was using chinese motors and batteries, with the plan to have it rapid charging in 20 mins or so. It was going to be short range, track/race days weapon.
