3/4" AF is 19.05mm. It's one of the few sizes that an imperial or metric socket will fit.

I have a work colleague was given an old lathe he wanted to refurbish, but none of his sockets/spanners fitted and he said they were a weird size, possible worn? Out came the old case of my dads whitworth spanners...Another one is 1 1/16" = 26.99mm.
