Terrifying! He's doing so well, but I think he needs a complete new loom for the car now.Amazed at how bad it is, better off leaving a car outside than in a barn, where mice seem to just run havoc.

Yeah, a tough situation to deal with. I hope that Dean can keep it going. A new loom might be the only option. It would be great to see this car back on the road.I'm not looking forward to seeing the chassis in all its glory.
Chassis - It can't be worse than mine was? although looking at the rest of the car...

Any idea what he bought it for?
Unfortunately not. Although I have a paid membership items you watch just disappear from your watch list once the auction finishes.Even if you bid on a vehicle (not that I did for this one) you only get to see what you bid up to, and not the final sale price after the auction.
Copart isn’t the greatest of websites to navigate around, so perhaps I’ve just not found the right menu yet.
To be honest I’m surprised it didn’t end up at TVR Glen’s, so it must either have been a real dude or this chap managed to out bid him for it.
To be honest, for a car that's only done 140 miles in 12 years, it doesn't look like a mess.
Yes, it's going to need chassis work, but he knows this. The hazards going, he's probably sussed the end of the indicator stalk and the blower is just push the switch.
Biggest headache is going to be the loom.

Was that all a mouse nest?

Squirrels apparently. It looks to have been stored with the windows slightly open to let them in and out. What a mess it was. Conkers, leaves, and squirrel st.Chassis - It can't be worse than mine was? although looking at the rest of the car...

Just binged the four episodes. How often does he release an episode?
Is the loom Land Rover Defender? I know it is in the Chimaera and Griffith.
I've been watching Dean for a couple of years, his job is car transporting on his flat bed, so occasionally there can be a gap in uploads as his day job takes over, plus he has young kids as well. There's no regular schedule. Is the loom Land Rover Defender? I know it is in the Chimaera and Griffith.
I admire the guys perseverance, if he can drop the same Audi engine out of an RS 3 times to fix problems then he's got the staying power to run with this, I think it will boost his subs as well as it's completely different to everything he's done before.
Engine loom isn't part of the car loom
Main loom will repair easy enough, vermin won't have eaten too much of it
Engine loom will be a straight forward job once he's viewed the ECU wiring diagrams posted to these forums
The job of repairing damaged wiring always looks complicated
Time, it's all about time
Does the man post to these forums?

Agreed. IMO a new harness is a no brainer. Not sure why anyone going for a restoration would try to splice all those old wires back together.May be of help to the man though

Unless the man @ youtube is doing the wiring repairs which means free labour but plenty of time spent, there's no point in farming the job out to a specialist for a loom repair
Repairing the engine loom will very likely take several hours by the time it's been belled out for what's what, then there's terminals heat-shrink and tape on top of the labour
A guesstimate of cost being 8 Hrs x say 50 Pounds/Hr + 30/40 Pounds materials + VAT
FarmyardPants, agreed, there's no point in having someone repair that loom as it will very likely cost more than a new one
