ETA: I'd have thought there would be information or a resource out there about where all the mounting bolts actually are. Rather than guessing and missing 4? He's brave alright!

Wheeler Dealers and Saving Salvage are two very different programs. Whilst Wheeler Dealers is produced to appeal to a wider world market, Saving Salvage is a much more focussed program which only people like us would find interesting. I like both but I think programes such as Wheeler Dealers, Car SOS, Salvage Hunters: Classic Cars, etc make it look easy and as we know, it really isn't. I recently restored a camper van and although I had the bodywork and paint done, I did everything else and it took hundreds of hours, not just a fortnight becasue someone will miss the car if it is gone any longer!
It is also fascinating how they can book a car in for a respray and get it done the next day! I have always had to wait months for a decent shop to have a space for me!!!
And as for the ridiculous discounts they get when buying spares or getting parts (Car SOS in particular), That just makes my blood Boil!!
Rant over!!

Shorts and flipflops? However top work in trying to save it
To be fair, it was 30°+ last week. And he wasn't in need of any safety boots really. I did think he was chancing his arm a bit with just the ramp legs under the arches. Felt much happier with the strops in place.Tyre Smoke said:

Oh same here, relieved when the straps appeared!Very watchable so far, will have a look at his older projects too.
I've only just found this thread, and only looked because this Saving Salvage was fed to me on YT
Also surprised that he hasn't said Hi here as every Google search brings you here, and probably on the first page, if not the top result
I was a bit alarmed when he started explaining why it said 'do not close' on the boot, but I guess he did stop just in time
I have already learnt something, because I've never had to remove the helmet holder on my car

To be honest I’m surprised it didn’t end up at TVR Glen’s, so it must either have been a real dude or this chap managed to out bid him for it.

He's put the Cerbera on the back burner, because he says it's such a big project and he doesn't have enough funds to restore it. It's a scrapyard special, as he has clearly found out.
I don't think he has any idea of how much it will cost to restore it. He should have just bought a decent one, but I suppose that isn't the point of getting people to watch his videos, so he can get paid by giving you an annoying sales speech about ready to cook meals delivered to your door, which work out way more expensive than buying the ingredients and making the meal yourself. I don't think the sales speech is a good fit for his videos. I was expecting something car-related! And are they the thing to have in the current economic climate?
Does he actually finish and sell any cars? Perhaps he can't. Does anyone want a write-off repaired by some non-specialist, who is doing it to make online videos?
He was talking about raffling some cars!

LucyP... You have a lot to say as always, but I assume you haven't seen many of his videos? This is one very talented guy who takes on cars I would shudder to touch. He does sell them regularly on his instagram site. The TVR is on hold because he has sent the chassis off to be refurbished. If you had watched the video's you would know that it was at least an 8 week task and probably a lot more. So no surprises that he hasn't touched it yet.
In his last 'summary of jobs ongoing' video, he explained that he wasn't going to work on the TVR until he had all the parts sorted and a proper plan so he could do it as an ongoing project with regular videos rather than just the odd one now and then.
Frankly I think the guy is a genius and I would love to have the skills and confidence he does!

keynsham - Look at his recent update video on his various cars-in-progress. He says that the TVR is on the back burner because he doesn't have the funds. It isn't a case of him waiting (since August) for the chassis to be repaired/replaced.
I've watched the videos and he clearly had no idea about various aspects of the Cerbera. Watch the one where he tries to turn the ignition on. When it doesn't work, he admits that he doesn't know whether he is doing it right.
I wouldn't buy a car from a person who had repaired a car that they knew nothing about. Is he a qualified or amateur mechanic? Is he there to repair cars, sell ready meals or make online videos?

You've misquoted him: firstly, he doesn't say he doesn't have funds, he says he's accumulating funds so he can do the job properly in one hit, rather than have to stop & start; he's explaining to his regular viewers why they haven't seen it recently. Secondly, he says he's doing that car as a personal project, not to sell on, so whether you'd buy it or not is academic. Lastly, he makes no secret of the fact that he's not a TVR expert, but he's prepared to learn & ask for help. He's one of those keen young guys that have no interest in the car world, obviously, so lets slag him off. Frankly, I'd rather spend my time helping him fix any of his cars, then ever be trapped in a lift with you... I've watched the videos and he clearly had no idea about various aspects of the Cerbera. Yep started to watch his channel, for the Cerb but I’m rapidly making my way through his back catalogue. The Tuned M2 has been interesting to watch so far.
If you've not already seen it, you might like this:https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=TtkYQo2oxHo
Annoying adverts aside, it's interesting viewing.
