A friend turned up with an AMG GTRthis yesterday - tuned to 800 bhp.
Took it for a blast on some B roads and it was an absolute monster, power everywhere and loads of it (with grip to match).....
Hi Imran, Took it for a blast on some B roads and it was an absolute monster, power everywhere and loads of it (with grip to match).....
Good, funny story, so I thought "interesting" and did a search....
then I found €180 K !!!!
For that sort of ackers, I would want the USS Enterprise ! (with Yeoman Rand grated, delicately on top)
As this thread is on the subject now, a mate has just reported that he's 'invested' in a BMW5 F10 which has had a stage 2 remap to give 720 hp
So he took it to The Isle of Man for a shakedown
I mention it because it cost him £53 K which, in my mind, is good value HP / Buck
(Justt chewing the cud, that's all )
Hope that life in your FAB garage in Ontario is treating you well

Full throttle in the Cerb still feels mad fast, I can't even begin to imagine how mental anything over 600bhp would feel.
On my joy rides, I always like to hit the limiter in 2nd and 3rd,to remind myself just how fast the car is. On the twisty roads I prefer, it's still as much as anyone needs.
These things must be torque limited in the first few gears I reckon.

Hey Paul :-)
Glad you liked the story and I can assure you, that dam thing went at least as fast as the Enterprise (not sure about the YR bit), proper warp speed experience.
And no, they’re not cheap and I’m not sure how much value you get for the money. It’s not 4x the fun of a Cerb, although if you factor in reliability, it probably gets close ;-)
Definitely the fastest car I’ve ever driven (or even been in), but I wasn’t left wishing for one!
For that kind of money, I would recommend a GT3. A lot slower, but a hell of a lot more precise and fun.

Another point touched on by Imran, I like my sports cars as raw and engaging as possible, a criteria that makes the Cerbera perfect for me, hence over 18 years of ownership.
It doesn't stop me wanting to experience something like the GTR, or a Mclaren 570S, but I'm just not wealthy enough to consider one.
Lucky us with our incredible Cerberas

The lighter weight of the Cerbera always stands out to me as well, especially in comparison to a lot of performance cars. Full throttle in a Cerbera is an amazing and engaging/noisy experience I reckon! You'd know! Sounds like your M4 has filled the gap nicely though?
